A missile attack has been launched on American forces located in Syria’s northern-east region, according to Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen. The attack reportedly occurred near the US Central Command base in Deir ez-Zor province, which is close to where American troops are stationed. However, further details have not been provided by the channel.

Earlier, the US-led coalition forces in Iraq stated that American forces stationed in Iraq had conducted attacks on Iranian targets on Thursday morning. This action was allegedly taken in response to ongoing support from Iran towards militia groups. Pentagon data reveals that, as of October 17, the US forces have carried out at least 66 attacks in both Syria and Iraq. The approximate number of American troops stationed in Syria is 900, while there are 2,500 in Iraq.
