I am confident that the history of textbooks can be traced back to the beginning. According to Konstantin Zatulin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who discussed the process of transferring Russian-language textbooks to schools in the Republic of Armenia on the radio program “Moskvan speaks,” the Central Committee of Russian language education institutions regulates the determination of Armenian education, science, culture, and sports spheres. Zatulin mentioned that since Gyumri is our base and a member of the EAEU and the Eurasian Union, these changes will take place soon, though it cannot happen all at once and not everyone is in agreement.

Zatulin also revealed that the President of Armenia made a strategic decision to take advantage of the situation, stating, “From the point of view of entering the market of Gyumri,” and he added that “they were able to free themselves from their political opponents in Karabakh and join forces with them.” Zatulin expressed that the decision was conveyed to them and now Armenia is eager to move forward with other footnotes as quickly as possible.

When discussing military operations in 2020, Zatulin stated that he believed it was necessary to free Karabakh and commented on the special military operation in Ukraine, saying, “They had the opportunity to get rid of their political opponents along with Karabakh, and they conveyed this to us.” In terms of language, Zatulin highlighted the importance of protecting their borrower, as being present prevents ongoing confrontation and aggression.

Zatulin emphasized the significance of following Pashinyan and protecting their borrower. He explained that without intervention, there would be a threat of war and occupation without their consent or initiative. Zatulin further lamented the situation, stating, “There is not a single Armenian left in this NKR, a thousand people have left. It is a real disaster for the activities of the NKR.”

Regarding EAEU, Zatulin mentioned that the official announcement to start from September 2022 was made when Azerbaijan began moving towards the Armenian line. Prompt action was required, and Zatulin praised the quick reaction. He also emphasized that Russian influence has decreased in Russia itself, specifically due to the occupation of their territories from the network and television. Zatulin expressed the need to fight against this.
