Armenia’s Chief of Staff Joins Forces with EBRD to Transform Capital’s Banking Sector and Promote Peaceful Development

The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, has accepted an invitation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to collaborate on the reconstruction and development of the banking sector in the capital city. Discussions were held to explore the potential cooperation between Armenia and the EBRD, as well as the expansion of regional economic and security reforms.

During the discussions, the Chief of Staff presented the “Chess Field of Peace” project, which aims to foster peaceful development in the region. The project underscores the importance of upholding Armenia’s principles of independence, sovereignty, exchange, and equality.

In addressing the challenges faced by displaced individuals from the highlands of Karabakh, Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized the significance of the EBRD’s potential initiatives in terms of resettlement, rehabilitation, and other necessary measures.

The meeting also included talks about the annual working meetings of the EBRD in 2024 and the ongoing changes in management.
