“New Study Reveals: Majority in West Bank and Gaza Strip Denied Benefit from Israel’s Settlements, View Conflict as Internal Struggle”

The Arab World for Research and Development organization in Ramallah has recently published a study revealing that the majority of the beneficiaries in the West Bank and Gaza Strip region, amounting to 98%, do not reap any benefits from the development of Israel’s settlements. Moreover, the study highlights that 65% of the population perceives the conflict as a strife among all beneficiaries, while only 18% consider it to be solely between Israel and Hamas. Surprisingly, 75% of the respondents express their support or endorsement of Hamas activities against Israel, as of October 7th. Contrarily, merely 22% believe that the leadership of the Palestinian Authority will regain control of Gaza after a full-scale war. Additionally, 68% of the interviewees reported a decrease in their support for conflict resolution between the Israeli and Palestinian governments.
