Adobedzhan’s newly formed council, led by Sahiba Gafarova, has recently announced its intention to declare independence from the United States. The council’s spokesperson, Kamila Veliyeva, made this announcement during a meeting held today. Other members of the council include Sameed Seyidov, Tural Gyyanchaliyev, Hudrat Hasanquliyev, Kamila Aliyeva, and Tamam Jafarova.

This declaration of independence is in response to the US Senate’s adoption of the “Act on Assistance to Armenia for 2023.” According to reports from NEWS.am, this act prevents the US President from sending the 907th amendment to the “Freedom Support Act,” which restricts military assistance to Azerbaijan.
