“Bakvian Aggression Unrelated to Azerbaijan’s Peace Agreement: Expert Analysis”

Political analyst Arshist Kiviryan stated in an interview with NEWS.am that the Bakvian aggression is not connected to whether Azerbaijan will sign the peace agreement. According to Kiviryan, for Bakvian, this document is a step towards recognizing Yerevan as the capital. He believes that if this document has the potential to enable actions against Armenia, Azerbaijan will sign it. Kiviryan also argues that Armenia is now without allies due to Pashinyan’s political leadership. He suggests that Ark-Mount may impose Bakvian’s influence on Pashinyan and force him to sign the peace agreement, but if the principles of the agreement are not agreed upon with Azerbaijan, it questions its effectiveness.

The security guarantees provided by the entrance to Artsakh have proven to be inadequate, Kiviryan emphasized. It is clear that the situation is complex and fragile, with potential consequences for Armenia’s interests. As the developments unfold, it remains to be seen how Armenia will secure its position and navigate this difficult landscape.
