“Armenia and India Strengthen Bilateral Relations and Discuss Refugee Support in Political Consultations”

On November 18, the 10th consecutive political consultations between Armenia and India on external affairs took place in New Delhi. Led by the Deputy Foreign Ministers of both countries, the discussions centered around expanding bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields. The parties recognized the significance of educational programs and cultural exchanges, as well as the potential for collaboration in various economic sectors. The Armenian side expressed gratitude to the Indian government for hosting the consultations and emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to strengthen friendly relations.

During the meeting, the regulation of bilateral relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was also addressed. The Armenian side expressed its readiness to provide shelter to over 100 Armenian political refugees displaced from the Nagorno-Karabakh region due to the recent conflict. The meeting attendees were informed about the measures taken by the Armenian government, led by the Prime Minister, to ensure the well-being of the refugees and the assistance provided by international partners.

Additionally, discussions were held on implementing educational programs and exploring other potential areas of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the State of Maharashtra, led by the Chief Minister. Both parties acknowledged the successful implementation of educational projects and expressed their hope for further collaboration.

The meeting concluded with the signing of several agreements in the field of education. A joint statement highlighted the importance of protecting historical-cultural heritage in the North Caucasus region of Armenia.
