A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan as a five-story building collapsed, resulting in the loss of one person’s life. The Governor of Yerevan, Igor Babushkin, shared the news through his Telegram channel, informing the public about the unfortunate collapse. Immediate action was taken by a group of rescuers to evacuate the residents from the affected area. Regrettably, a section of a five-story residential building, housing five apartments, collapsed. By 19:00, a total of 213 individuals, including 37 children, were successfully evacuated. According to preliminary reports, one person, a woman born in 1939, was unfortunately pronounced dead. Additionally, several injured people are currently receiving medical treatment,” stated the official announcement.

In light of this tragic event, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has swiftly initiated a criminal case to investigate and understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
