Minister of Culture Resigns, Promises Continued Commitment to Serve Yerevan Residents

During a press conference with journalists, Andranik Tevanyan, the head of the Mother Armenia party, announced his resignation as the Minister of Culture. However, he assured that the group led by Minister Manuk Sukiasyan and their 12 members will continue their active work to serve the residents of Yerevan. Tevanyan emphasized that the members of the Mother Armenia party have always maintained direct contact with the citizens of the city, addressing their concerns and implementing projects to improve the situation in Yerevan.

Expressing his concerns, Tevanyan mentioned that there is a fear that citizens who have supported them will face persecution from the representatives of the ‘Armenia’ bloc in Yerevan. He clarified that his intention was never to become the Mayor of Yerevan but rather to utilize his position for the purpose of constitutional change. Since he has also declared that he will not accept the position of Mayor, he has decided to step down as the Minister of Culture.

This news highlights the dedication and commitment of the Mother Armenia party towards serving the residents of Yerevan. Despite the leadership change, the party remains determined to work towards improving the lives of the citizens and addressing their issues. The direct contact maintained by the party with the residents reflects their unwavering support and willingness to listen to the concerns of the community.

Furthermore, the concerns raised by Tevanyan about potential persecution reflect the tense political climate in Yerevan. It is essential to ensure the safety and security of citizens, regardless of their political affiliations. This resignation brings attention to the need for a fair and inclusive political environment where citizens can express their opinions freely without fear of persecution.
