“Kazakhstan Foils Terror Plot: 12 Arrested in Nationwide Operation”

The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan has detained 12 members of a terrorist group who were planning to carry out a series of attacks in the country, according to a report by Informburo.

On November 15, the National Security Committee’s employees arrested 12 individuals involved in organizing terrorist attacks, including the formation of a terrorist group, its leadership, and active participation. The operation took place in the cities of Astana, Atyrau, and Zhanaozen.

According to the investigation, the detainees had been planning to carry out attacks in Kazakhstan with the aim of destabilizing the country’s security. They had been actively distributing extremist propaganda and recruiting new members.

During the searches conducted at the suspects’ residences, authorities confiscated literature of a radical nature and other extremist materials.

Some of the organization’s members have been charged with serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder, possession of explosives, illegal possession of firearms, and incitement to violence.

These developments highlight the ongoing efforts of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee in combating terrorism and maintaining the safety and security of the country.
