Yesterday, Gevorg Parsyan, the head of the community of Kapan, and Arush Arushanyan, the head of the community of Goris, had a meeting with Paul Krekorian, the Mayor of Los Angeles, USA. This significant event was shared by Arman Tatoyan, the former MP of the Republic of Armenia, on his Facebook page.

During the meeting, Tatoyan discussed the dire situation in Artsakh, presenting evidence through maps that depicted the catastrophic impact of the Azerbaijani military aggression on September 19-20, 2023. He highlighted the destruction of civilian infrastructure, the displacement of the Armenian population in Artsakh, and the presence of the Azerbaijani military, which forcibly removed residents from their historic settlements.

A clear establishment was made that this Azerbaijani aggression against political life is a result of impunity, emphasizing the urgent need for action.

The heads of the communities of Kapan and Goris in Syunik also had an opportunity to discuss their community-specific issues during the meeting. They focused on the challenges they faced in the wake of the Azerbaijani aggression, the continuous violations of rights and freedoms of the population, and the pressing need for humanitarian aid.

The visit was organized with the support of the Eastern Section of the Armenian Justice Association in the United States and was led by Karo Ghazaryan, an Armenian-American lawyer. This demonstrates the collaborative efforts being made to address these critical issues.
