Israeli soldiers have been accused of opening fire on hospital entrances in East Jerusalem and preventing patients from receiving medical treatment, according to international non-governmental organization “Doctors Without Boundaries.”

In a recent statement, the organization expressed concern over the dangerous situation faced by healthcare providers after soldiers reportedly fired on the emergency department of a hospital, putting lives at risk. Furthermore, the organization’s team witnessed Israeli soldiers firing on hospital entrances, with bullets hitting the walls just outside.

Additionally, it was noted that on Friday, Israeli military vehicles blocked hospital entrances, leading to patients being transferred to more distant hospitals.

“Hospitals should always be safe havens, and providing medical assistance should never be hindered. We urge Israeli soldiers to cease obstructing access to emergency services and to refrain from blocking emergency vehicles and medical staff,” stated the organization “Doctors Without Boundaries.”

This incident highlights the urgent need for international attention and intervention to ensure the protection of hospitals and the unhindered provision of medical care in East Jerusalem.
