Delegation of Argentine Jewish Associations pays tribute to Armenian Genocide victims in emotional visit

The president of the Delegation of Argentine Jewish Associations (DAIA), Jorge Knoblovits, together with the organization’s scientific advisor, Ariel Blufstein, recently visited Argentina. One of their notable visits was to the Armenian Genocide Memorial on November 10.

During their visit, a tribute was paid to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims. Knoblovits and Blufstein placed flowers near the Eternal Flame Memorial as a sign of respect. Additionally, Knoblovits took the opportunity to visit the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute to gain a deeper understanding of the historical context surrounding the genocide.

The delegation also made their way to the Armenian quarter of Córdoba, a community that is home to both survivors and descendants of the atrocities committed during the late 19th and early 20th centuries by the Ottoman Turkish government. Armenian survivors, witnesses, and experts shared their stories with the visitors, providing insight into the history of the Armenian massacres, the Armenian Cause in Ottoman Turkey, and the activities of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Armenian Genocide.

Another highlight of their trip was the visit to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. The delegation was given the opportunity to explore various historical and temporary exhibitions. The visit concluded with a ceremony led by His Eminence Archbishop Kissag Mouradian, Prelate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Argentina.

To express their gratitude for the visit, Knoblovits, on behalf of the delegation, presented the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute with books dedicated to the history of the Armenian Genocide.
