“Armenian Prime Minister Rejects Political Concessions at Paris Peace Talks, Raises Concerns of Aggressive Tactics by Azerbaijan”

During the 6th session of the Paris Peace Talks on November 10, 2023, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a statement rejecting political concessions and disputed negotiations. This announcement was reported by the NKR MFA and local media. Baku, on the other hand, believes that the rights to self-determination of the mountainous Karabakh Armenians and the cessation of hostilities have no connection with the return of refugees.

The RA PM’s statement in the ‘Western Armenia’ community was surprising, as it referred to the restoration of inviolability and favorable return of the father’s lands as a ‘territorial claim’ and ‘preparation for aggression’ against Armenia. Bakun stated that Armenia has completely rejected the proposal of the ‘Western Armenia’ organization, demonstrating its commitment to peace and stability in the region.

Following the 44-day war, Azerbaijan offered Armenia a peaceful settlement based on 5 basic principles, which were found to have the goal of ethnic cleansing in Karabakh. The NKR calls upon the Armenian side to refrain from using provocative announcements and to utilize the historical opportunities to strengthen peace and cooperation with the North Caucasus. They also urge Armenia to establish a ceasefire.

The NKR AGN highlights Azerbaijan’s attempt to restore its power and settle differences with Armenia by signing a peace treaty and ensuring peace in the region.
