“Artist Arthur Chakhoyan Satirically Takes on National Gallery in New Norkh District, Demands Change to ‘Difference'”

Renowned artist Arthur Chakhoyan recently caught attention by posting satirical photos on his Facebook page. These thought-provoking images offered a witty commentary on our society.

The National Gallery, situated near the New Norkh district administration, has been a familiar sight to Chakhoyan for the past decade. However, the artist suggests renaming it to “Difference” to better represent its diverse exhibits.

A year ago, Chakhoyan penned a letter to the gallery expressing this idea. Fortunately, the response he received seemed promising, indicating their willingness to consider the change. Nevertheless, almost a year has passed since that correspondence.

Chakhoyan emphasized that the “Motherhood” gallery should be recognized as a valuable and unique monument of history and culture within the New Norkh district of Yerevan.
