“Armenia Faces Border Chaos: Stranded Travelers and Trucks Await Entry Amidst Protests at Bagratashen Checkpoint”

Armenia has been facing a concerning situation at the Bagratashen border checkpoint with Georgia for the past 2-3 days. According to Karen Hovakimyan, a correspondent for SHAMSHYAN.com, they have been stuck in the border area for several days now, unable to enter Armenia. The Armenian side seems to be experiencing difficulties in deciding whether to resume operations, while the border side fears potential protests and is hesitant to let people in.

The situation is worsening, with approximately 600 trucks currently stranded at the border. The drivers are left in the dark, without any information regarding when they will be able to proceed. It all rests on the Armenian side’s decision to open the checkpoint and allow entry into Armenia.

This issue has been causing significant disruption for those who had plans to travel in and out of Armenia. For instance, Hovakimyan and others had been regularly leaving the country to visit cities in Russia and returning to Armenia without any issues in the past two weeks. However, now they find themselves in a frustrating situation, unable to return home due to the border closure.

The lack of communication and uncertainty surrounding the situation is causing frustration among both the stranded drivers and those awaiting their return. Hopefully, the authorities will find a resolution soon, ensuring smooth travel and commerce between Armenia and Georgia.
