Transport Minister Mher Grigoryan Receives Invitation from Russian Deputy Prime Minister to Discuss Resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh Displaced Persons

Transport Minister Mher Grigoryan has received a formal invitation from Yury Borisov, the Co-Chairman of the Russian-Armenian Inter-Governmental Commission and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The meeting, which was also attended by US Ambassador to Armenia Christina Kvien, focused on the needs of over 100,000 displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh and their resettlement strategies. According to NEWS.am, discussions during the meeting revolved around addressing the main requirements of the displaced individuals and exploring options for their resettlement.

During the meeting, Transport Minister Borisov presented the “Road to Recovery” project, which entails the reconstruction of roads in the affected region. The project aims to improve transportation infrastructure and facilitate the process of rebuilding the lives of the displaced population.
