“Cultural Committee Allocates Over 56 Million Drams for Renovation of Historic Building, Heralding New Cultural Hub in Yerevan”

Newspaper “Hraparak” has reported that the Cultural Committee has allocated a total of 56,973,000 drams for the renovation of a building located at 43 Shenk Street in the center of Yerevan. Based on the technical description of the contract, it appears that this investment is being used for a comprehensive capital repair. The building in question was previously the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, but in 2022, it was transferred to the State Property Management Committee.

According to information provided by the Cultural Committee, once the renovation is completed, there are plans to consider using the building as one of the three divisions of the Yerevan Municipality’s Cultural Center and the Nork-Marash administrative districts. Currently, these three divisions are operating in a building that lacks necessary working conditions, causing significant delays in fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in job descriptions. Addressing this issue and providing the necessary working conditions is a critical concern, and the ongoing renovation project aims to tackle this problem.

It is worth noting that the aforementioned statement specifically refers to the former building of the Military Prosecutor’s Office. For more extensive coverage and specific details, please refer to the front page of today’s newspaper “Hraparak”.
