“Mountainous Karabakh Inhabitant Unjustly Sentenced to 15 Years by Azerbaijan: Human Rights Violations Exposed”

The trial of the inhabitants of Mountainous Karabakh, who were accused by the Azerbaijani authorities, has concluded. According to Azerbaijan’s ZLM, Khachatryan has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. The decision comes after Azerbaijan initially cited Khachatryan’s age, claiming he couldn’t be tried for war crimes as he is over 65 years old.

It is important to recall that Khachatryan was a participant in the first Karabakh war and was taken prisoner earlier this year in the Lachin corridor. He was detained by the Artsakh Defence Army. Despite the numerous human rights violations committed against Khachatryan by the Azerbaijani authorities, who not only failed to release him but also brought false charges against him, the court proceeded hastily. A total of 59 individuals claimed to be “injured” and implicated Khachatryan in their testimonies, accusing him of criminal activities. However, Khachatryan maintains his innocence and denies involvement in any criminal acts.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that the inhabitant of Mountainous Karabakh was falsely presented as a citizen of Armenia.
