“Massive Discovery: 30,000 Ancient Bronze Statues Unearthed in Italy, Hinting at Naval Activity”

More than 30,000 bronze statues from the fourth century BC have recently been unearthed near the ruins of Sardina, shedding light on potential naval activity in ancient times. This significant discovery was reported by CNN and has piqued the interest of archaeology enthusiasts. Additionally, an Italian explorer has made an intriguing find in Arzakeyna, close to Rome. The Ministry of Culture of Italy has announced the discovery of “metagamdors,” which are ancient Roman bronze or lead statues with phallic shapes that were commonly used as currency. The total number of statues found is estimated to range between 30,000 to 50,000, making this finding incredibly substantial.

The recently discovered statues have been remarkably well-preserved, with only four of them suffering any damage. These artifacts date back to the years 324-340 AD and were found within the Roman Empire’s treasury. This not only offers a glimpse into the artistry and craftsmanship of that era but also provides valuable insights into the economic systems of ancient Rome.

The Ministry of Culture has further emphasized that the location where the statues were found might have implications regarding naval activity. This suggests that there may have been a connection between the ancient maritime world and the production and trade of these statues. Moreover, evidence of African and Eastern production has been unearthed alongside the statues, further adding to the significance of this finding and broadening our understanding of historical connections and cultural exchange.
