“The Trial of Vagif Khachatryan Concludes: Accused of ‘Terrorism’ in Karabakh Conflict”

The trial of Vagif Khachatryan, who had been accused of “terrorism,” has come to an end. Khachatryan, who had been in custody since July after his escape from the area of the Karabakh conflict, has been on trial for his alleged criminal activities. During today’s hearing, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, ZLM, presented evidence and published documents regarding the incident.

According to APA news agency, the judge has requested additional time from the court, and the trial will continue on November 7. Khachatryan is being tried for several charges, including questioning the Azerbaijani judiciary about illegal armed formations, involvement in the displacement of Azerbaijanis, illegal appropriation of state property, and embezzlement.

Khachatryan refutes all allegations made by the Baku authorities.

In related news, the Azerbaijani ZLM has recently announced that there is no possibility of an unjust verdict being delivered by the judge. This statement further emphasizes the government’s stance on the case, suggesting that a fair and just trial is underway.

It is important to note that the trial has garnered significant attention and has raised concerns about the ongoing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has been a longstanding issue, and this trial is seen as a part of the broader efforts to address the consequences of the conflict.

The trial has also attracted attention from international media, with reporters closely following the proceedings. The outcome of this trial will undoubtedly have implications for the region and may affect future negotiations and developments related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

As the trial continues, both supporters and critics of Khachatryan await the final verdict. The Armenian news agency, NEWS.am, has been providing updates on the case and will continue to closely monitor its developments.
