“Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan Commemorates Fallen Soldiers at Special Marking Ceremony”

On November 6, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, visited the Republic of Armenia to witness the special marking of the Armed Forces. The event had the participation of the NSS, the police, and the CSTO.

According to the MoD of the Republic of Armenia, before the official ceremony, Minister Papikyan and the invited guests took part in commemorating the fallen soldiers and the victory over the enemy during the 44-day war and subsequent military operations.

The Director of the National Security Service expressed his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers by laying a wreath and flowers, symbolizing the memory of their sacrifice.

During the ceremony, Minister Papikyan emphasized the role and significance of marking the soldiers’ courage and dedication in the face of the enemy. He also highlighted the responsibility and duty that comes with the right to defend the homeland while upholding the values and rights of human dignity.

Suren Papikyan praised the readiness of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and their capabilities to carry out military operations in different types of terrain.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan, the Deputy Director of the NSS, and the Deputy Chief of the CSTO were also present at the event.

At the end of the ceremony, a group of soldiers who participated in the marking were honored with military medals, emblems, and valuable gifts. The Prime Minister personally presented these awards to the family members of the honored soldiers.
