“European Union Boosts Humanitarian Aid to Gaza by 25 Million Euros Amidst Israel-Hamas Conflict”

The European Union has announced an additional 25 million euros in humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Ursula von der Leyen, Head of the European Commission, stated that this increase brings the total EU support to 100 million euros, aiming to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza caused by the conflict. Von der Leyen emphasized that while Israel has the right to defend itself, it should do so in accordance with international law and human rights. She also highlighted that the history of Gaza blockade has proven to worsen living conditions and intensify the conflict rather than pacifying extremism.
