Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Dedicates Electric Car to President of Kazakhstan in Effort to Strengthen Economic Ties

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has presented a Turkish electric car, TOGG, to the president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as part of his efforts to bolster Turkish economic production in Kazakhstan. The statement expressed Erdogan’s gratitude and dedication of the TOGG to the president of their country. During the president of Kazakhstan’s visit to Turkey, he showed great interest in the new electric car.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the president of Kazakhstan, expressed his admiration and congratulated his business partner on the successful launch of the production of electric cars. The official opening of the first Turkish electric car production line, Togg, took place in October. The model will be available in two versions, sedan and SUV.

The Turkish electric car, with a power of 160 horsepower, can travel up to 314 kilometers with a single charge and costs 953,000 lire (over $50,000). The first deliveries are scheduled for July. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and 80% of the battery can be charged in just 28 minutes. A full charge takes approximately an hour and a half.

Turkey’s manufacturer has also announced plans to install over two thousand charging stations for electric vehicles throughout the country. This development aims to support the growing number of electric cars in Turkey and further promote sustainable transportation.
