“Tragic Car Accident in Shirak Province Leaves Driver and Dozens Injured”

On November 3, a major car accident took place in Shirak Province, Armenia. Valeriy S., a 61-year-old resident of the Republic of Armenia, was driving a Scania truck with a trailer loaded with “Ghochi aghbyur” parts in the administrative district of Ashotsk when he unexpectedly lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, resulting in a crash. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.

Gagik Shamshyan, a photographer who was present at the scene, shares that as a result of the accident, the driver, along with 52 rescuers from the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia and civilians, were transferred to the Gyumri Medical Center for medical attention.

Emergency medical services were provided by the doctors and medical staff at the Gyumri Medical Center. They examined the injured individuals before their transfer to the hospital for further treatment.

An investigation is currently underway. The 2nd Office of the Shirak Regional Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, led by investigator Karen Kureghyan, is handling the case. Aghasi Khachatryan, the main observer of the accident, along with Garik Barseghyan, the head of the Regional Police Department, and Arystakes Poghosyan, the head of the 1st Department of the regional police, are also involved in the investigation.
