“Russian Ambassador Facilitates Crucial Talks on Border Delimitation and Transnational Transportation in Central Asia”
The Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Aleksey Ovchinuk, recently held a meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, with the working groups of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan to discuss transnational transportation and the delimitation of borders. Ovchinuk emphasized the importance of addressing the mutual challenge of border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He stated that the ambassadors of the governments of both countries are the main negotiators, with Russia ready to provide assistance and support in the process. Ovchinuk further highlighted the significance of the ongoing construction of the North-South highway in Armenia, which will connect Iran with Armenia through Russia and play a crucial role in the Eurasian corridor.
