“Iran’s Strong Transcontinental Connection Debunks Possibility of ‘Turkish Corridor’, Claims Iranian Expert”

An Iranian expert, Vardan Voskanian, recently discussed the possibility of a “Turkish Corridor” in Iran on his Facebook page. According to Voskanian, the Azerbaijani “Iron Ring” project, initially designed to counter Armenian resistance, has been used for financial purposes in Iran and has not yet been implemented. However, Voskanian warns that if Armenia does not meet the requirements and neglects the potential threat of the “Turkish Corridor,” it could potentially be realized in Iran. Despite scientific explanations, the idea of the Turkish threat finds support among some individuals. Nevertheless, it is important to note that Iran already has a strong transcontinental connection and does not necessarily require the “Turkish Corridor.” On the other hand, Azerbaijan has historically maintained a transport link with Iran through its Nakhichevan territory.

In other news, Armenian website NEWS.am reported on the insights provided by Vardan Voskanian regarding the possibility of a “Turkish Corridor” in Iran. According to Voskanian, the Azerbaijani “Iron Ring” project, intended to counter Armenian resistance, has been utilized for financial purposes within Iran, rather than being implemented. However, Voskanian cautions that if Armenia fails to address the potential threat of the “Turkish Corridor” and disregards the necessary precautions, it could become a reality in Iran. It is crucial to acknowledge that Iran already possesses a robust transcontinental connection and does not require the establishment of a “Turkish Corridor.” Conversely, Azerbaijan has maintained a historical transport link with Iran through its Nakhichevan territory.
