“Explosion rocks Syunik region: Rescuers race to scene as car plummets down cliff”
An explosion occurred near the village of Tegh in the Syunik region, as reported by the emergency management center on November 3 at 16:18. The incident resulted in injuries, prompting the need for assistance from rescuers.
A rescue team from the NSS Regional Rescue Department promptly arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion was caused by an explosive device.
The incident involved a “VAZ 2101” car driven by a 56-year-old individual identified as A. A. The vehicle veered off the Goris-Tegh road, tumbling approximately 200 meters down a cliff.
Prior to the arrival of the rescuers, the driver had already been transported to a nearby medical center for treatment.
Upon their arrival, the rescuers effectively neutralized the car and took necessary precautions by closing the gas valve.
