Arbitration Chairman Gregory Minasyan receives invitation from the Netherlands to discuss justice cooperation with the European Union

Arbitration Chairman Gregory Minasyan has been invited by the Kingdom of the Netherlands to attend the consultations of the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in Brussels on October 27. The invitation highlights the importance of Armenia’s cooperation in the field of justice and ongoing reforms in the judiciary. It also acknowledges the Netherlands’ commitment to the discussions on the association agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia.

According to NEWS.am, Chairman Minasyan expressed his gratitude for the invitation and discussed the support of the Netherlands government in implementing the foundation for the application of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The parties also explored potential cooperation in various areas of justice, including human rights, judicial reform, and accountability of judges.

The Dutch government’s Dignity and Justice program was recognized for its significant role in supporting the reorganization of the justice field, promoting integration, social support, and improving the working conditions of probation and parole officers. Discussions were also held regarding the situation of persons deported from the Republic of Artsakh, focusing on opportunities for their integration, social support, and the protection of their rights during the justice process.
