“US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s Global Diplomatic Tour: Visiting Israel, Jordan, Japan, South Korea, and India to Tackle Key Regional Issues”

The President of the United States, Anthony Blinken, is scheduled to embark on a nine-day visit to Israel, Jordan, Japan, South Korea, and India from November 2nd to 10th, as announced by the State Department on Wednesday. During his visit to Tel Aviv, Blinken’s focus will be on reaffirming US support for Israel’s security, exploring avenues to enhance the safety of American citizens, addressing the issue of prisoner release, and promoting human rights and humanitarian aid in Gaza. In Jordan, discussions will revolve around the situation in Gaza and broader regional security matters in the Middle East.

In Tokyo, Blinken will participate in the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of the AG7 countries, in addition to holding individual meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yoichi Miyazawa. A meeting in Seoul is also planned, where the US Secretary of State will engage with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong. Furthermore, Blinken will round off his itinerary with a visit to New Delhi, where he will confer with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that Blinken has previously visited Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt to address the ongoing complex situation in the Middle East. Additionally, on October 18th, President Joe Biden paid a one-day working visit to Israel. The upcoming trip reaffirms the United States’ commitment to engaging with key stakeholders in the region and seeking lasting solutions to prevailing challenges.
