“Russia’s Head of Reinforced Forces in Ukraine Reveals New Phase of Covert Warfare: A Threat to Both Sides”

Valeri Zalouzhniy, the head of Russia’s reinforced forces in Ukraine, was recently mentioned in an article by The Economist. The article suggests that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is entering a new phase of static and covert warfare.

Zalouzhniy believes that the military conflict is advantageous for Russia and will allow them to regain control over the forces involved. This includes not only the Russian-backed separatists in Eastern Ukraine but also the Ukrainian government itself. He emphasizes the need for Ukraine to strengthen its airborne, electronic, and submarine warfare capabilities, as well as invest in new technologies and storage facilities to better educate and equip their armed forces.

Despite severe sanctions and significant resource expenditure, Zalouzhniy cautions against underestimating Russia. The country still has a long way to go in terms of losses, technology, weapons, and military supplies. Russia’s defensive industry has managed to increase production capacity despite continuous sanctions. However, the ongoing military conflict presents real risks for Russia’s reinforced forces and the government. New innovative approaches could once again alter the course of this conflict within the realm of military operations.
