“Russian Foreign Ministry Welcomes Any Transportation Solution for Trapped Individuals Between Baku and Yerevan, as Regional Leaders Prepare for Moscow Summit”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed her support for any transportation options that can help facilitate the return of people trapped between Baku and Yerevan. The comment came after a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Georgia. Zakharova emphasized that anything beneficial for the parties involved and the region in general is welcomed by Russia. She further highlighted Russia’s ongoing efforts in the delimitation of responsibilities between the conflicting parties, including the signing of a peace agreement, the cessation of hostilities, and transportation and economic connectivity in the South Caucasus. Zakharova also revealed that preparations are underway for a meeting between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, which will take place in Moscow.
