“Government of Armenia’s 2021-26 Program: A Confusing and Inconsistent Document Raises Concerns”

An official newspaper recently published a document called the “Government of the Republic of Armenia’s 2021-26 program.” This document was approved by the Government of Armenia on August 18, 2021. However, many people find this document confusing and questionable in its accuracy and implementation. Despite it being a program for the years 2021-26, it is already clear that it does not align with the current situation. It is important to note that this is not a preliminary statement or a collection of articles by Pashinyan, but an official program that has not been properly executed.

One aspect that raises concerns is the disconnect between the program and the reality of the country. The implementation and achievements of the program do not match up, leaving many objectives unsolved and unfulfilled. It is disheartening to see that despite it being the program of the Government of Armenia, the main focus on ensuring the security of the Nagorno-Karabakh region has not been successfully addressed. This is especially alarming considering the importance of cooperation with Russia in military and political matters, as emphasized in the program.

The program also highlights the need to protect the national security of the Republic of Armenia. However, it is clear that this cannot be achieved at the expense of the security of Karabakh. The final resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be a top priority for the government, along with de-escalation and ensuring the security of the country through military-political cooperation with Armenia. While steps have been taken in collaboration with various organizations, there is still much work to be done to achieve these goals.

It is important to address the inconsistencies in the program and the failure to fulfill promises made to the Armenian people regarding the security and cooperation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The program should have provided a strong foundation and necessary conditions for development and implementation, but it falls short in many areas. Moving forward, it is crucial for the government to reassess and take concrete actions to address these discrepancies and ensure the peace and security of the country.
