On October 31, the Green Synod of Bishops and Spiritual Council began under the leadership of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The council commenced with a Divine Liturgy at the Information Center of the Mother See.

The proceedings commenced with a prayer, followed by His Holiness Karekin II extending his blessings and congratulations to the spiritual and lay members of the Green Synod. He expressed his gratitude for their successful and fruitful work.

Over the course of the four-day council, various topics will be discussed, including the challenges related to the country’s military operations, the predicaments faced by the displaced people from Artsakh, and the importance of preserving the spiritual, cultural, and social heritage of Artsakh.
