An American military base located in the “Omar” Canyon in eastern Syria has come under attack, resulting in at least 4 casualties, according to RIA Novosti.

Explosions were heard in nearby villages and settlements, as reported by a source. The source also mentioned that these explosions were accompanied by the presence of high-altitude American military aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder has pointed the finger at Iran for supporting these attacks, according to Al Jazeera.

Ryder has further revealed that the United States is deploying an additional 300 troops to the Middle East in order to bolster the region’s security efforts.

Over the past month, US forces have conducted a total of 27 military actions in both Iraq and Syria.
