“Armenia Accuses Azerbaijan of Terrorist Actions Amid International Demands – Expert Warns of Red Line Crossed”

Armenia has accused Azerbaijan of engaging in terrorist actions and violating international norms. In an interview with NEWS.am, Hilda Choboyan, the head of Covcas Center for the Coordination of Rights and Issues, expressed concern over the diversion of scientific and legal grounds. She stated that if Armenia withdraws from international rights, it would have negative consequences. Choboyan also stressed that Armenia should not engage with a regime that she considers to be fascist, as it would only lead to further red lines being crossed. She further indicated that more additions will be made to their previous statement.

Choboyan highlighted the plight of Armenian soldiers held captive in Baku, stating that they are being used as bargaining chips rather than being eliminated. She criticized the violations and abuses in Azerbaijan’s political situation, emphasizing that holding soldiers captive is deemed to be a breach of international norms. Furthermore, she argued that the allegations against Armenian soldiers, especially those involved in the first war in Artsakh, are a violation of international rights.

The head of Covcas Center underscored the physical and psychological pressures imposed on the authorities of Artsakh, emphasizing that these actions are against international rights. Choboyan called for international attention on the issue, stating that a major event should be organized to demonstrate that the individuals being held captive are not terrorists.
