The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Iran are set to finalize a free trade agreement by the end of December, as revealed by Alexander Panikin, the Russian Ambassador to the EAEU. Panikin explained that the agreement follows a standard framework for free trade zones, addressing the mutual exchange of goods between the two parties.

The head of the Ministry of External Economic Relations of the EAEU confirmed that the signing will take place at the end of December during the Eurasian Economic Union summit. However, the official did not disclose the specific representative who will sign the agreement on behalf of Iran.
