“Public Health Organization Reports Alarming Surge in Infections in Gaz Health Facilities”
The public health organization (PHO) has recently reported a significant increase in the number of infections in health facilities in Gaz. According to their announcement on the PHO’s official social network page, between October 7 and November 28, there have been a total of 203 infections recorded in hospitals and ambulance vehicles, affecting medical personnel as well. The organization deems this rise in infections as absolutely unacceptable.
Furthermore, the PHO has expressed deep concern about the current state of affairs in Gaz, describing it as “critical”. For instance, in the case of the “Nasser” hospital located in Khan Younis, the organization has revealed that the ventilation systems within the hospital are deemed “intolerable” due to the presence of patients and contaminants.
Additionally, the PHO has released alarming statistics indicating the severity of the situation. The mortality rate of hospital workers currently stands at a staggering 171 per cent, while the infection rate among intensive care units has reached as high as 221 per cent. At the “Nasser” hospital alone, there are 1,000 patients and 1,000 contaminants among its staff of 350 medical professionals, and the European Hospital in Gaz is similarly struggling with 370 medical staff and nearly 70 displaced residents.
