“Massive Traffic Violations Uncovered: Over 17,000 Vehicles Seized and 5014 Rule Breakers Caught in Yerevan Operation”

During the operation conducted in the capital city, Yerevan, from November 27th to December 4th, the police discovered a total of 5014 violations of traffic rules, which led to the seizure of 96 vehicles. Out of these violations, it was found that 180 vehicles were being driven without a valid driver’s license and 255 individuals were driving without the proper registration documents. Additionally, there were 54 violations related to the use of excessive noise signals, illegal tinted windows, or missing license plates.

Further violations included driving without insurance (1105 cases), using tobacco products while driving (280 cases), using a mobile phone while driving (171 cases), and driving in unauthorized areas (137 and 1564 cases). As a result of these infractions, a total of 122 individuals received fines for their offenses.

Moving on to the provinces, during the same period, there were also violations of traffic rules detected. This resulted in the seizure of 15213 vehicles and the displacement of 241 means of transportation. Similarly, 178 vehicles were being driven without a valid driver’s license, and 929 individuals were driving without the proper registration documents. Moreover, there were 94 violations related to excessive noise signals, illegal tinted windows, or missing license plates.

Additional offenses in the provinces included driving without insurance (3036 cases), using tobacco products while driving (211 cases), using a mobile phone while driving (444 cases), driving in unauthorized areas (2 cases), and exceeding the speed limit (1019 and 3656 cases).

It is worth mentioning that 500 vehicles were seized without an AMPA agreement. These include 2276 vehicles with technical failures, 1423 vehicles with malfunctioning external lighting devices (15 of which were trailers), and 735 vehicles with illegally tinted windows and faulty license plates. Furthermore, 57 individuals also received fines for various offenses during this period.
