In a press conference, Karen Andreasyan, the President of the Constitutional Court, highlighted the importance of reminding judges of their responsibilities to ensure fair work. Andreasyan emphasized that as the presiding judge of the Prosecutor’s Office, he aims to maintain impartiality. Regarding a recent decision made by the Constitutional Court, Andreasyan stated that evaluating judges’ actions falls under their own responsibility, not his. When asked about the possibility of political motivations behind certain actions, Andreasyan maintained that judges do not have the authority to evaluate each other’s actions.
Addressing the protests against judicial actions, Andreasyan characterized them as conflicts within the judiciary, emphasizing that the judiciary should not be involved in political events. However, he acknowledged that there have been violations of judicial authority and disruptions, indicating that complaints have been forwarded regarding such issues. Andreasyan cautioned against letting the heads of criminal bodies participate in discussions, as this could lead to conflicts. In conclusion, Andreasyan acknowledged that conflicts and disturbances have indeed occurred.
