On November 29 at 03:31, the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Operations Management Center received a distress call from a resident reporting a house fire and their trapped daughter, who was in an unstable condition. Firefighters swiftly responded and successfully extinguished the fire. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the daughter and her two and four-year-old children had managed to escape through a window. The mother also reported significant damage to their home and belongings as a result of the fire.

According to NEWS.am, the Malatya division of the Emergency Situations Ministry’s firefighting team was dispatched to an incident on Shahumyan 4th Street at 02:30. A 25-year-old woman was being interrogated for alleged child abuse against a 36-year-old woman, who was also displaying unstable behavior and had reportedly assaulted her own children, aged 2 and 4. As the father attempted to escape with the children in their “Nissan” vehicle, the 36-year-old man dangerously crashed the car into the garage door, endangering their lives.

A criminal case has been initiated to address the situation.

Following the incident, authorities inspected the house on Shahumyan 4th Street, revealing the discovery of a 12mm caliber firearm, a firearm resembling a hand grenade, and various amounts of ammunition.

During the early morning hours of November 30, at 2:20 AM, the 36-year-old man voluntarily surrendered to the Malatya division of the Emergency Situations Ministry. He was subsequently detained and handed over to the appropriate authorities.

The investigation into the incident is currently underway.
