Armenian and Chinese Authorities Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Labor and Social Security during Official Visit
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, the Deputy Minister of State for Social Affairs of Lebanon, Edward Petrosyan, and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia in China, Sergey Manasaryan, recently met with Van Siapopinin, the head of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Human Rights and Social Security Authority during a working visit to China.
According to NEWS.am, the meeting focused on discussing the powers and progress of the authorities in the field of labor and social security. They also addressed various issues related to field cooperation and mutual exchange, such as labor migration, social protection, environmental protection, and social justice.
Minister Mkrtchyan acknowledged the significance of the friendly relations between Armenia and China in promoting bilateral cooperation. He emphasized the common interests that both nations share and the importance of close collaboration in the areas of labor and social protection.
“We have a shared goal of improving the quality of life. Cooperation in this regard can yield positive results by combining our strengths,” stated Minister Mkrtchyan.
Minister Mkrtchyan also highlighted the ongoing formation of the Armenian social partnership system and expressed the value of China’s experience in this field.
Minister Van Siapopinin discussed China’s active role in bilateral cooperation and expressed willingness to contribute to joint programs aimed at enhancing social services.
“China actively collaborates with countries in the region. We are pleased to cooperate with Armenia and are ready to implement joint programs to promote social protection and development,” stated Minister Van Siapopinin.
During the meeting, Minister Mkrtchyan expressed gratitude to the PRC authorities for their substantial assistance in supporting over 100,000 beneficiaries of social assistance programs in the Republic of Armenia.
The parties also explored the possibility of creating joint educational programs in the field of Armenian-Chinese comparative studies. Additionally, they discussed the potential implementation of an exchange program to foster mutual understanding in the areas of labor and social protection.
