“Race Against Time: Rescuers Spring Into Action to Prevent Deadly Collapse in Berd”
On November 29 at 12:35, the emergency management center of the regional administration of Tavush received a distress call from a house on H. Nahapetian Street in the city of Berd. The caller reported a risk of collapse from a nearby landslide on the opposite side of the road and requested the assistance of rescuers.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia has informed NEWS.am that the situation has been submitted to the regional emergency management center, which will conduct a preliminary calculation of the rescue operation. The exact details of the operation are yet to be determined.
Rescuers have taken swift action to prevent the imminent collapse and clear the road of debris, thus ensuring the safety of the area. The operation was successful, and the road is now open for use.
