Former Prime Minister of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan, to Participate in 44-Day War Crimes Investigative Committee Session: “Joghovurd” Daily Reports

Former Prime Minister of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan, is set to participate in today’s session of the 44-day War Crimes Investigative Committee, as reported by “Joghovurd” daily. The session will be attended by military representatives from the Artsakh Defense Army, indicating that Babayan will provide answers to the committee’s questions, while keeping the information secret from the general public.

It is noteworthy that Samvel Babayan holds a remarkable position as a favorite figure within the Artsakh Defense Army. The committee’s president, Garen Kocharyan, who represents the military group, happens to be the godson of the committee chairman, Andranik Kocharyan. This relationship ensures that Babayan receives full protection and a warm reception from the military. One could even say that he has been provided with comprehensive support by the committee chairman. It is speculated that, being the spiritual leader of the war, Babayan was involved in the committee’s activities from its inception.

Initially, Babayan expressed his willingness to participate in the committee’s work due to concerns about the lack of adherence to the “rules of the game.” However, the situation seems to have changed now. Babayan no longer questions the integrity of the process and has received a personal invitation from the committee chairman to attend as a participant.

Furthermore, it is important to mention that the 44-day War Crimes Investigative Committee, headed by Andranik Kocharyan, will conclude its work on December 3. Consequently, Samvel Babayan will be the final invitee to partake in the committee’s proceedings.
