EU Provides Ukraine with 1 Million Vaccine Doses, Minister Calls for Stronger Condemnation of Russia
The European Union has provided Ukraine with one million doses of the vaccine, of which around 300,000 have been administered, according to Dmitry Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Kuleba made this announcement during a press conference in Brussels. He further called for a more assertive condemnation of Russia’s external actions by Ukraine and NATO, in order to provide deterrence for future aggression. Kuleba emphasized the need to create a comprehensive partnership for security in the Euro-Atlantic region, extending not only to Ukraine but also to Eastern European countries.
During the press conference, Kuleba relayed positive outcomes of his meeting with Juri Balara, the Secretary of the Security Council of Slovakia. Kuleba mentioned that the new President of Slovakia, Robert Fico, expressed his desire to cease military assistance to Ukraine. However, Fico clarified that he does not support the purchase of weapons from private companies. Instead, Slovakia will continue to provide technical support for Ukrainian military technology, as already approved by Fico.
Additionally, there have been recent developments in Armenia. Unfortunately, further details are not available at this time.
