The current situation in the Lar region has been linked to Armenian-Russian relations by Ashot Pashinyan, the representative of the “Armenia” team in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Pashinyan stated that Russia’s actions were somewhat expected, and that there have been other manifestations noticed during the interview. Pashinyan and the representatives of the Russian Federation have good relations, including with Putin, but the overall relations are quite tense, which negatively impacts the provision of public services. Pashinyan pointed out that forming a public opinion based on biased press sources is challenging in this scenario.
