“Protesters Demand Release of Coup Suspect and Detainees, Sparking Unrest in Central Yerevan”

Participants of the “Zang” protest in Armenia took to the streets of central Yerevan to demand the release of Suren Sahakyan and other detainees involved in Nikol Pashinyan’s coup. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the delay in the release of the detainees. In addition to their demand for release, protesters also sought a place in the government’s publication.

The protest took a violent turn as one of the participants’ cars was targeted and damaged. Despite the small number of participants, the protest drew a significant number of supporters, including armed individuals.

Yesterday, the “Zang” protesters organized another demonstration in the heart of Yerevan, voicing their demands for the fulfillment of Nikol Pashinyan’s government’s obligations.

As reported by NEWS.am, tensions are escalating in Armenia as the “Zang” protest continues to advocate for the release of detainees and government transparency.
