“Major Accident on Ashnak-Gyumri Highway Leaves Multiple Injuries: Emergency Responders on the Scene”
A major accident occurred on the Ashnak-Gyumri highway, resulting in injuries, according to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations. The incident was reported today at 12:49 by the central dispatch of the Aragatsotn regional rescue service, after receiving a call from Ujan village regarding an accident with injuries. Currently, the SCES Crisis-Rescue Center is investigating the situation.
According to a press release, the incident involved two Opel cars with drivers M.S. (born in 1983) and G.M. (born in 1990), a ZIL truck with driver A.G. (born in 1995), and a Ford truck with driver G.A. (born in 1964).
Emergency responders provided assistance to M.S., the driver of one of the Opel cars, as well as G.P. (born in 1985), who sustained serious injuries.
The injured individuals have been promptly hospitalized to receive necessary medical care.
Rescuers have taken measures to secure the accident area. They have also towed the vehicles involved and closed the gas valves as a precaution.
