Tragic Update: One Earthquake Survivor Succumbs to Injuries, Another Remains in Critical Condition
In today’s government briefing, I am sharing the latest updates on the health condition of the citizens injured in the recent earthquake in Armenia. During my visit to the “Burn and Plastic Surgery National Center” yesterday, I presented information on the medical condition of the two individuals who were in critical condition.
Unfortunately, one of the patients has experienced a worsening of their condition, mainly due to the severity of their burn injuries. Despite the medical staff’s efforts for cardiovascular resuscitation, they were unable to save the patient’s life. This unfortunate news was reported on the Facebook page of Anahit Avanesyan, the spokesperson for healthcare.
“On a more positive note, the other patient’s health condition is currently stable and they have been transferred to the hospital ward. However, considering the extent and severity of their burn injuries, they still require ongoing medical supervision,” stated a representative from the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia.
