Top Israeli Military Official Warns Netanyahu of Threat to National Security Posed by Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas, Haaretz Reports

The Head of the Investigative Division of the Military Prosecution, Brigadier General Amit Sahar, has reportedly notified Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the threats faced by Israel due to the social-political situation in Iran, as well as the actions of “Hezbollah” and Hamas. These warnings were communicated in messages sent in March and July, as reported by Haaretz.

In these messages, Sahar expressed concern about whether Israel should take preemptive action to address the deteriorating situation or allow it to worsen further. The letters were sent on March 19, just a week before the first attempt to dismantle the judiciary system, and again on July 16, a week after the failed attempt to remove Justice Minister Yoav Gallant from office. Sahar attached investigative reports to each letter, providing a comprehensive analysis of the military escalation threat.

In his communication to Netanyahu, Sahar highlighted that all indicators point to a dangerous time for Israel, as it is not effectively utilizing its consolidated strength and is being weakened by the activities of Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas. This situation, if left unchecked, has the potential to enhance and worsen Israel’s critical state.
